Below are 5 workouts specifically designed to help you understand the foundations of Pilates. We take the movements slowly and have a real focus on form and technique. This will give you all the confidence you need to start exploring the rest of the Class Library and Sculpt Challenges.
Welcome to this Foundations Class. A great place to begin if you are new to Pilates and new to Sculpt. We explore core engagement, strong form and foundation exercises.
Session 2 is all about the spine. Spinal mobility and spinal strength. Protecting the spine is such a vital element of Pilates so this session is valuable when you are just starting out.
Finishing this 5-part-series with a full body workout where we put it all together. Now go and explore the Class Library and Sculpt Challenges!
Session 3 is about side lying practice. Positioning of the body is vital in our side lying work and so this session really helps with that.
Session 4 provides a tutorial for 3 signature Pilates exercises that lots of people find quite tricky to master - The Roll Up, The Shoulder bridge , and Rolling-like-a-ball.
